When Elizabeth Forester crosses the stage at Bentonville High School's special education graduation next week, the act will be especially meaningful for the cheerful 20-year-old, who is quadriplegic and nonverbal, and her supporters in the audience. To get to that moment has taken a more challenging and winding road than most other students have faced, and it began with a singular goal: survival.
