"Ms. April's Crown and Bookstore," a live action show that affirms what makes children "unique, divine and magical," debuted at noon yesterday at the Geena Davis Outdoor Theatre at the Momentary as part of the Bentonville Film Festival. The show is based on Afro Unicorn, a licensed character, a Black unicorn that wears a crown. The character gained popularity over Instagram, got picked up by Walmart and now has products that run the gamut, including detangling shampoo and other hair products and accessories, summer and party items, as well as the holy grails of kids products -- band aids and fruit snacks.
